you basically have to do it all day long at one hour intervals. my doctor strongly recommended not to do that though. it will bring on your contractions too fast and they will be more intense than if you were to wait it out. she said that it would make things way more painful. and if youve ever had a baby before you know that you dont want that.

I read an hour. Also, they say that castor oil (yuck) and vigurous sex can do it, too. Apparantly, sperm has some chemical in it that can help thin out your cervical membranes. But most of these are old wives tales, but hey- at least it'll keep your mind off waiting HAHA! Good Luck!

It only works if your body is READY to go into labour, otherwise, you may get a couple of contractions, but they will stop.

If you stimulate them DURING labour it may make your contractions stronger, which may shorten your labour.
