My son was 7 lbs 9ozs, & 20 ins at birth, and at 4 months he was 14 lbs 4 ozs, & 24 1/2 ins. My doc said it was totally normal, and your baby's doc should be able to show you a chart showing you the "average" for your little one's age! You are doing awesome! Congrats!

My baby was 12 pounds 9 ounces and 25 inches at 4 months. So, it sounds fine to me. If you look that up on the weight charts, it puts your baby at 25-50th for weight if it is a boy and 75th percentile if it is a girl.

According to the growth charts pediatricians use, the average weight at 4 months is 14 pounds and average height is 24.5 inches. This would be for a baby who was "average" at birth, being 7.5 pounds and 19.5 inches. You can check out the link below for more exact info based on your baby's birth weight.

It sounds pretty normal, but you need to state how much the baby weighed at birth.
