If an astronaute is stranded in outer space with no hope of returning. Does the astronaute have a pill that is at their disposal to end their life if everything else fails to rescue them safely. I heard that the crew of Appollo #13 was just hours away from taking the Pill provided to them by NASA.

If they did NASA would never admit it. They may use too, but I wouldn't think they do it now. Like the 2 shuttle loses, it was over before any one knew what happened. They all went quick. NASA keeped the info quiet on the remains of the crew due to respect. So it would be hard to know unless an astronaut spills the beans.
