Try to relax and be yourself. Be polite and confident. Don't act like you are desperate. Look them in the eye. Be prepared to answer the hard questions like "What is your biggest weakness". Answer questions like that by saying things like..."Sometimes I'm just too motivated and enthusiastic, I probably should learn to tone it down a bit, but I can't help it. When I'm working on things that I'm passionate about, it's hard for me to take them lightly." Turn things around a bit. Try to practice with a friend and make them be tough on you. Definitely listen to the poster here who said get a book. Another thing that might help is interviewing often...even while you are waiting to hear from other companies, get out and interview. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. I've been told that I'm an amazing interview, and I’ve rarely lose out on a job, even if I'm not totally qualified. Good luck :)

Go on the Internet and research the company you want to work for even if you have to delay the interview. Then you can answer the question "Why do you want to work for us?" Tell us about yourself means what do you have to offer us. It's all about how you can help the company make money. Be prepared for the "What is your weakness? question. I usually say math unless the job requires math. Ask them if they are considering anyone in the company (not good), how many people have held the job in the last 5 years (more than two not good) ask how you can make the biggest contribution. Ask about training policy and when would they expect you to be up to speed. It's a two-way street. You sell yourself to them and vice versa. Go online and type in "free interview questions." Also go online and type in job description search tool and type in the name of the position for a good description of general expectations.Don't mention salary until an offer is made, then ask what the range is. Good luck

1. Do some research about the company. It always helps if you come in with a little knowledge about the place you will be working.
2. Dress appropriately. It's still an old fashioned world, no matter what anyone thinks.
3. Be yourself and be honest. There is nothing worse than hiring someone who lied in an interview or on an application.

the number one item has that always worked for me is to challenge the interview process.
Don't be afraid to ask them tough questions. if they can't answer or give dumb answers, ask yourself if this is someone you want to work for?
people make the mistake of thinking that it's up to you to prove your worth to the company, well that's is partially true but remember it is up to the company to prove that they are good enough for your services.
you have to be careful on this because you don't want to be obnoxious but if don't correctly, you will stand out from the rest.
second most important thing is to know your resume in side and out. do not get caught with a blank look when asked about something on your resume.
third thing, follow-up with a thank you letter to everyone that interviews you. once again, this separates from all of the other sub par candidates.
fourth, be honest and elaborate on all questions. avoid yes or no answers. this is your chance to let your personality shine.
good luck!
