The last time I checked, we as people only differ in culture. The way someone talks may be affected by a culture but culture does not equal color, there not the same thing. How do you feel?

I think ebonics is the dumbest title ever (just my opinion)

I guess you are right. It is the culture that affects a persons behaviors and even language. It's just a form of stereotyping. I'm glad you pointed that out. I'm guilty of that myself.

Some people find the term African-American offensive as they have never been to Africa others find being referred to as black offensive. When referring to someones speech would you prefer ebonics which has ebony as the root word which my dictionary defines as a deep black.
To answer the question of how I feel; I wouldn't get offended unless somebody was trying to be offensive; not just using a color to describe a culture.

i completely agree with you. Because the ghetto of america in which the popular slang terms originated are mostly populated by black people, it is considered "talking black". when really, it is only the lingo from a region that has spread inot other regions. Like someone from the south moving to the north and getting everyone in the north to say "y'all"

You are correct, You cannot talk a color.
When people are referring to talking black that is a misnomer.
Saying that someone is talking "black" is usually meant as an insult, As it implies the person is not able to communicate with others in an acceptable way.

you must understand people's meanings, now in all honesty most southern african americans have different words or accents, but some don't. its just easier to say, and people don't like to explain that it sounds different. Now northern African Americans are more likely than southern African Americans to speak "white" but there it goes again, the need to explain, white as in just not "black" but honestly most Asians speak like "whites" so.....yeah, thats my answer, And how i feel, i feel that you can admit something you find to be true but not always assume you are right in every situation LOL sorry if that got confusin :)
