no not really, its quite thought provoking, almost Genius but not quite, its not stupid, interesting and pointless maybe there's nothing wrong with pointless questions as long as they give of a little bit of interest, your question has people reading it twice and thinking about it if only for a moment that's what makes it pointlessly interesting. x

Of course it's not the actual question that can be smart or stupid, but it's the person asking the question.

So the question becomes are you stupid?

I think not because you were able to compose that kind of question. Of course, you may have simply seen it somewhere else and be parroting it. I'll have to click on your profile and see what other questions you have asked...

Okay, I just checked your other questions. I'm afraid there may be no easy answer as to whether you are stupid or not. I feel that you might be a wise person wearing a mask of stupidity. To find out I would have to read all your questions and answers in detail and there are quite a few of them. I don't think I'm up to it.

So just for a quick snappy answer I'll say: No, the question is not stupid.

It's only a stupid question to ask if asking it somehow brings about an event contrary to your desires. It sounds like you were trying to be funny, and asking the question makes you feel funny, which is the desired result, so I'm gonna say no, it's not a stupid question to ask, as it has succeeded in it's intended cause.

My little grasshopper... Do not fret! You are just lost. Ask! Wonder! And you will find your way. At the moment your are loitering, wasting your life. Do not ask what is stupid. Ask what is right and true. Focus on the truth for stupidity will only bring you astray. Rest, my little grasshopper. Do not burn your brains out with such questionings. One day, when you least expect it, you will find the answers to your questions.

I want to say there is no such thing as a stupid question, but there is. Take for example "The recipe calls for a cup of milk. Can I substitute an onion instead?" is a dumb question. Making yours superior in intellect.
