You are not responsible dear for the woes of another person. You can empathize and sympathize, but don't take someone's elses problems on as your own. It will drive you nuts!!! LOL Why do you feel guilt for someone elses worries? Work on the reasons, and that will help you too. It is very nice that you have a compassionate heart, dear, just don't let it drag you down. You may make a good counselor some day :). Good luck.

It's called compassion. Just let yourself be driven by those compassion feelings so that they turn into actions.
Give help in as simple a way as just giving some troubled one a reason to smile, will not only make you feel better but will also help you to be surrounded by people who, in turn, care about you too.
I think there's always a positive way of expressing every feeling one has, and that even the worse ones can be turned into nice actions if we try hard enough.

It's okay to empathize with others, which means you feel bad for what they are going through. Don't sympathize, which is when you cause yourself to feel their pain. When you sympathize, you do them and yourself no good. Don't apologize unless you have caused the problem. Offer them your time, be there for them by just listening, or if appropriate, offer specific things you can do to help. Often asking if there is anything you can do, the person will automatically say no, even if there is. That's why offering a specific help is better.

Feeling sorry for them may indeed be a sign that youre a caring person. However, if this feeling doesnt drive you to help them in any way you can, then its wrong. Never apologize to someone for something you didnt do. Its irrational.

No, but you should help them when you can. As far as luck is concerned, there is no such thing. All actions are as a direct result of your actions and those around you. If you got shot in the head on the way to school it wasn't because of luck, it's because you chose to be there and someone chose to shoot you. That simple.
