Ok, I'm tired of hearing all of this junk about Larry, my favorite comedian, being racist. Hope this this question offends nobody, I'm not racist and do not support anyone being anything near close to that. But, what gets me is that they call him a racist, then compare him to another comedian, like Chris Rock. Then they go on to say that in Larry's performances, there isn't any African Americans. Go and watch "The Original Kings Of Comedy" with Cedric the entertainer, etc. There is no white people there. Actually, while watching Blue Collar tours and the TV show, there are actually quite afew African Americans there and ing up, if I might add. Also, Larry jokes mostly about his kind (like me). So, what my question is, for all those people who call Larry a racist, please quote directly from his performances, that shows he is a racist. Plus, you can't say he is racist without mentioning Carlos Mencia. Larry is a patriot and loves America, because he is an American. Thanks

I agree with you that he's not racist. I don't believe that any comedians are. They make those jokes for the simple fact of getting laughs. There is no reason to get hostile about it. They all make fun of people of another race. People laugh and they know that by showing up at one of the shows that there's a chance something is going to be said either directly to them, or about them. It's the art of comedy and if they don't like it then don't pay to see him!!

Larry the Cable Guy is a stage name from a radio show he used to do... the viewers liked "Larry" so much that he kept it when he went on to live and TV comedy. I think his real name's Lawrence or something.

I love Larry The Cable Guy too. He's not racist and have you tried telling your friends that? And have you asked them if they've even watched more then 5 minutes of it? No there isnt any black people but there arent any white people on the chapelle show or as you said, the original kings of comedy so i think you should just tell your friends that your comedy interests are nothing of their concerns and if you like to watch larry the cable guy, do so. remind them that this is america and you have freedom to watch what you please.

I like Larry the Cable Guy. I have never considered him to be a racist, nor have I ever heard he was a racist. I actually saw the Original Kings of Comedy and you would be surpirsed how many Caucasians were actually there. They may not have showed alot of them on television, but I assure you there was a good number of them present.

thats just his stage name....Daniel Lawrence Whitney is his real name, alot of people do that...do you think that Bono's name is actually Bono? or Sting? sometimes they actually change their names to that....Ice Cube legally changed his name from O'Shea Jackson to Ice Cube. Don't think that the names they have on the headlines are their real names alot of times it isn't.
