I have had a stiff neck all this week. Is there something I can do to help it get better? Also my cervical spine does hurt.Is there any connection with this?

Now that I read you are also having cervical spine problems, I would definitely say it is associated with some complications, it can as simple as a pinched nerve to as severe as a slipped disk or worse meningitis.

See a doctor as soon as you can---if you are experiencing cold like symptoms go to the ER, since meningitis first appears as a slight cold then followed by a stiff neck.

If you are not experiencing flu-like symptoms, see a neurologist, they should be able to help you determine either problem, since they specialize in the spine/back column.

Meanwhile if no flu symptoms are present take some ALEVE, unless you are allergic to it, which contains NAPROXEN an over the counter anti-inflamatory, place warm compresses on your neck, and do some slight neck rotations, placing your chin on your chest and rotating your head clockwise till the start point then counterclockwise, do this for several days, only once a day.

Definitely seek medical advice. Good luck.

1. Buy some Ben Gay and rub that on your neck.
2. Get a heading pad and a cold pack and alternate them on the neck...ten minutes hot, ten minutes cold.
