Ok. I got this barbecue last night, but, the sparker thingy was not working. I know that these use a piezoelectric effect to create the spark. (that's the first datum)
I then went to hook up the gas tank and noticed that the knob on the tank did not conform to the drawing of a gas tank in the bbq manual. The handle needed to be traingular, mine was round -indicating an older tank, one that did not conform to "OSP" guidelines according to the manual. (that's the second datum)
Armed with these data I took the bbq and tank back to the hardware store and demanded my money back. When they asked what was wrong I said that the piezoelectric device was non-functional and that the tank was not OSP compliant. The customer service rep had no idea what I was saying, wrote it all down and put a big green tag on the bbq saying "defective". Funny she never asked me what the piezoelectric device was or where it was or what OSP was all about.....
