For one, it's illegal. For another, they have probably gotten the help that they needed. I say thank God for suicide failures. They can go on and live their lives!
I'm hoping you don't want them to keep trying, that would be icky.

Because either they didn't want to go thru with it to begin with or they just got smart and decided it wan't worth it

cuz they got smart and rational and thought through their problems cuz they've been given a 2nd chance at life. they want to hold onto their life this time and try to make it right.

Maybe they had a friend who helped them realize that they were loved and that it would have devastated their family and friends.
