Pujols is clearly the better man! More homeruns, more RBI's, hes more valuable to his team, better batting average. Pujols is the man! If u dont agree with me, ur retarded!

Wright is very young and many have noticed that he has the rare combination of speed and power. Like you, I also think Pujols should be named MVP at the end of the year. It'll be interesting.

It's the most VALUABLE player, not the best player. Wright holds that lineup together. Take Pujols out (and he was out for a while) and the Cardinals are still a force. The Mets would be sunk without David Wright.

I would think that people are focusing on David Wright because he's young, extremely talented, and is playing on one of the hottest teams, which happens to be in the largest market. Because he plays in N.Y., he gets more attention than someone who plays in St. Louis (not fair, but true).

Also, Pujols suffers from quiet consistency. People have become so used to his greatness that they take it for granted. Whereas David Wright is the next hot thing.

That said, Pujols will still probably win - unless he gets hurt long-term or the Cardinals completely collapse. The MVP rarely comes from a bad team.

Best player on a team that is running away with its division. Pujols is by far the best player, but with the Cards struggling, Wright may have a good chance to be one of the youngest MVPs ever. I hope that Albert wins again however, since he was robbed several times of previous trophies by the walking steroid man.

Wright has been the player most responsible for the Mets great turnaround and success. Pujols is a great player and hitter yes but the Cardinals were not a bad time previously, although they struggle when he's not in the lineup.
