Are there any good Pilipino restuarants near Union Square? Because I'm going there late August and I really want to try Philippines food,,,,I have a good friend in Manila so that's why :P

there's one on the embarcadero, right at pier 40 i think. On the bay side of the embarcadero across from townsend street - about 1 block away from SBC park. sorry, can't think of the name right now.
anyway, i've gone there with a filipino friend before and she liked it. this is not a fancy place, but i guess it is authentic. easy enoguh to get there from union square, just go to market and catch a muni light rail train headed for the caltrain depot. get off at brannan street or at SBC park.
