I'm 40 weeks and a half and my doctor told me that she would induce me whenever the hospital had an opening but when i called the hospital they told me that she never even put in a request for my induction. What can i do if she doesn't? I dont like my doctor, but i know now its too late to change. Can i admit myself into the hospital for induction if she just doesnt do anything and lets me go beyond 42 weeks.

I've been so frustrated today, i sat down and cried. I dont want anything to go wrong with my baby.
please help me ,what can i do?
can i go to the hospital myself and beg them to please set a day for me to be induced???

Call your doctor and ask her about the induction. The most important thing you can do is relax, your baby will not do well if you stay stressed.

#1 do what ever you can to go into labor yourself by having sex with your husband, clean the house, go for a long vigerous walk with a friend.
#2 being induced is not fun because you are doing something artificially what your body is not ready for. Some babies dont tolerate inductions very well then you end up with a c-section.
#3 Wait until you see your doctor again next week and discuss it with him again. Babies will come in their own time. Nature knows what it is doing. Just remeber to monitor the baby's movement. You should feel movement a minimum of 1x per hour. If you noticed a significant decrease in movement go to the hospital immediatly and call your doc on the way. If your water breaks put a maxipad on and head to the hospital the pad will catch the amniotic fluid and the docs and nurses can see the color of the amniotic fluid and can determine what comes next.
When you go into labor it will go by real fast and then you'll blink and the kid is 12 and talking back. Enjoy the last few days of freedom you will need it!

You cannot admit yourself to the hospital and order them to induce you without your physican. Don't call the hospital about scheduling your induction, that has to be done by your physician. Start pushing (no pun intended, although hopefully you will be doing that soon) your doctor about scheduling and be persistent. Remember the squeeky wheel is the one that gets oiled.

The problem with changing doctors is finding another one that will see you. In medical communities, doctors are reluctant to see disgruntled patients from other doctors. It won't hurt to try, all can be said is no.

Hang in there, this is the point that you want that baby out. Keep nagging the doctor, trust me before long she'll cave in.

Good luck
