They can of course sell the place if they wish ( buyer would be obligated to honor your lease)
In your lease it should give the reasons they can enter the property, normally with giving a 24 hour notice.
I would say that they can't put the lockbox but will have a right to show it with notice ( even if you can't be there) actually most places ask the renter to not be in the house being showed.

You need to reread your lease. The landlord is the legal owner and that usually gives them the right to do whatever with their property and the lease should say something to that effect. They have to however, stick to the Tenant Rights of the state. They have to give 24 hours notice (I am sure) before showing the property. You need to contact the housing department of the state and ask for information pertaining to this so you have all the legal information.

I manage an apartment bldng in Los Angeles county. If you landlord has given you sufficient notice, then yes. I think it is either 60 or 90 days, but laws are different for each county. You can't prevent somebody from selling just because you live there. If they give you the required notice, then the lease is void.
For showing the apartment, since he stated his intentions then, yes, he can show the apartment as long as it is standard business hours...no 3am or 11pm.

You must read your lease carefully. That situation may be in the fine print.
I do believe this is an invasion of privacy if nothing is in your lease. He should instruct all realtors to contact you before showing.

You need to read the lease thoroughly to check. Ask Citizens Advice?

Don't panic...the real estate market in CA, at least in San Diego, is in the toilet right now. I think you need to contact your cities free legal aid....local bar association. They can help you. I think he can sell the property, who knows, maybe you won't have to move. He has to at least give you 24 hrs notice though before showing it...i am pretty sure of that.

I would look up tenant and landlord laws for your state but I would assume it would be legal but it would have to be a 24 hour notice to you before they could enter. Wish you the best!!

Not really sure, but if you watch People's Court you can find out legally where you stand. They have cases similar to yours on all the time.
