and what states come to mind when you think of the south? I don't really consider Florida southern in culture......

I think that southern states are perceived as behind the times, but I sort of like that- the people are very polite.

It's great here down south! And Florida is southern in culture, just not the more popular parts.

The south is fine. For some reason there a lots of beautiful women in the southern states. In the sunnier states, women stay in shape and dress sexy. In the less sunny states, women are more likely to be fat and ugly.
The northern states don't have near as many pretty women. Unfortunately there are also a lot of stupid, lazy people in the poor areas of the south.

I think that they are great but u know i am from the south (Texas) so i don't really know what u mean. do u mean how people from the north think of us in the south about the way we talk or our culture.

I used to be an OTR truck driver, so I drove all over but never lived there. The food is really good. I love pimento cheese, fried pecans, those little tiny pies, yum.

i love the southern states!!! and i dont consider florida sourthern either... i love the people, love the sites,, love everything bout the south!!!

I like My South....Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi come to mind first.

I think of people who talk fast.
And then I think of the lady I have to talk to occasionally for my work- I feel violated afterwards she is always calling me 'baby, my baby, darling' ...it disturbs me.
But mostly I think of big houses with huge wrap around porches, spanish moss hanging from trees, old above ground cemeteries.
