I dont think there should be.. condoms are a way to prevent std's and pregnacy. Why would there be a legal age to purchase.. since people have intercourse at younger ages..

Is there a legal age to purchase them though??

There are no age restrictions on when you can buy condoms.
However, generally people are very embarassed to buy them which
is too bad because a lot of unwanted pregnancies and STDs could
be prevented if they just had the guts to walk up to the counter
and buy them.

By the way, cashiers are sufficiently trained to know that buying them
is embarassing to some, so they don't call out "Price check on aisle 4
for condoms ... Price check on aisle 4 ..."

To my wisdom, there is not any criminal age. My boyfriend is sixteen and whilst he might purchase condoms they only gave him a humorous look or informed him to have fun :] those we'd purchase are available in a container of three, on the gas stations. At drugstores, they are greater costly .

I have not heard of any legal age to purchase them. Usually condoms are right out on the shelf for anyone to buy - I've never seen any type of sign saying you had to be x years old to purchase.

NO.

However, you might run into some pharmacies/shop-keepers (especially in small towns, particularly in the South and Mid-West), who refuse to sell condoms or any other birth control to young people, because they are not comfortable with young kids having sex, or they are morally opposed to birth control.

If you are concerned, go to a Wal-Mart or some other store with a "U-Scan" or similar self checkout when you buy them.
OR, you can always get condoms from your local Planned Parenthood health center (call 1-800-230-PLAN).

No man, you can go buy condoms. Most teenagers are just too ashamed to ask the checker for them, is all. Walk right up and proudly tell the clerk that you need a box of lubricated condoms. Trust me on the lubrication part.

I have never seen a sign in texas saying you had to be a certain age.I will also have to agree with ebaz on the fact that most public restrooms have vending machines for condoms. No one is watching these machines and nothing asks for an age.You just put your coins in and turn the dial and out pops one perfectly new wrapped condom.

You have to at least be able to get an erection to buy condoms. Some stores make you prove it. What a weird law, eh?
