My brother has a diesel truck and I want to help explain the difference to him since he put the wrong gas in his truck!! lol

Well.....
You see... One pump has this letter "D" at the beginning.
The other pump has this letter "U" at the beginning.
You want the one with the letter "D" in the beginning.
Note: The letter "D" is also first when you open your door to put gas in.

Umm, Diesel pumps usually have like a 30 foot overhang over them compared to the 15 foot overhang Regular Unleaded gas pumps do.

(Skipping over why someone wouldn't read the sign...) The diesel nozzle is larger and won't fit into the majority of cars that take gasoline (some very old ones are exceptions). However, this means it is very easy to put a gasoline nozzle into a diesel vehicle, as you did, and it scares me how often I've seen people do this... :D

The nozzle for the diesel is larger, and won't fit into a regular car. Also, you won't see the octane rating - the 87 - 89 and 93. Oh, and it's usually marked as diesel, and

Diesel pump handles are usually green or yellow plus they're marked with "Diesel #2" on it.
Umm............. the other grades of gas are also clearly marked and most gas stations you have press which grade of fuel you want.

You open your eyes and read the sign on the pump. Diesel says diesel, regular unleaded says regular unleaded. Who'da thunk it?

Diesel usualy has a green handle on the nozzel. Its should be labeled at the pump.

why do they keep issuing drivers licences to blind people. tell your brother to whack the pumps with his white cane, deeper thump is heard from diesel....
