Bacterial vaginosis is one of the causes, or reaction to certain soaps.
Beware........ they should not smell fishy.
Interestingly enough, some women's partners give them that smell after sex. It doesn't tend to happen when the man has had a vasectomy!
Educated enough now?

If a woman has a fishy smell it is because she has developed bacterial vaginosis, an infection of the vagina, which is caused by not wiping properly, cleansing on a daily basis and also from douching too much. Douching kills the normal flora in the vagina and that normal flora is what keeps bacteria at bay. Remeber between not cleansing properly, and the daily sweating during the day it will make anyone smell even a guy.

If a woman washes and pays attention to that department on a regular basis, then she should be free from those fishy smells. Take a man if he don't wash correctly then he will have the fishy smell also if he has not been cut.

The fishy smell is an indicator of poor personal hygiene or a bacterial infection. The cause of the odor is from bacteria, once the bacteria is gone, the smell is gone. Men who are uncircumsized and have poor personal hygiene can get a yeasty bacterial substance called smegma, which smells worse. Bacteria stinks, if it builds up, and nothing is done to get rid of it.

Because the lining of the vagina is covered with millions of friendly bacteria to prevent infection from the bad bacteria. Washing regularly usually keeps the aroma down to hardly noticeable levels.
If the smell is really bad this indicates an infection, usually yeast based like thrush.

It's the smell of bacteria (healthy ones that r supposed 2 be there). if the smell is really discusting a girl would probably have a yeast infection, thrush which would need 2 be treated.

They shouldn't if they wash properly but I think certain infections can cause a fishy odour.

They are not suppose to. If there is a "fishy" odor then a bacteria may be present..... ( most likely caused from wiping back to front, woman are suppose to wipe front to back)
