I'm not talking about DVD's. I download videos off the internet and I have no clue about the formats, but all I know is that in the control panel thingy, the have the quicktime sign on it. How do I get those videos on the ipod video?

Just because it has the quicktime logo does not mean it will work for sure you need to download a iPod video convertor here is a free one go to this website and download it http://www.jodix.com/ and it will convert the files so it will work on your iPod just add it to itunes and put it on your ipod

drag and drop the files into the "Videos" in iTunes. Go to the file menu, Select "Convert Selection for iPod"
