Fractions consist of two numbers. The top number is called the numerator. The bottom number is called the denominator.
numerator
__________
denominator
To add two fractions with the same denominator, add the numerators and place that sum over the common denominator.

for the answer of your question
3/4 + 3/4 = 6/4
which is also 1 2/4

Adding Fractions with Different Denominators
To Add Fractions with different denominators:
Find the Least Common Denominator (LCD) of the fractions
Rename the fractions to have the LCD
Add the numerators of the fractions
Simplify the Fraction
Example: Find the Sum of 2/9 and 3/12
Determine the Greatest Common Factor of 9 and 12 which is 3
Either multiply the denominators and divide by the GCF (9*12=108, 108/3=36)
OR - Divide one of the denominators by the GCF and multiply the answer by the other denominator (9/3=3, 3*12=36)
Rename the fractions to use the Least Common Denominator(2/9=8/36, 3/12=9/36)
The result is 8/36 + 9/36
Add the numerators and put the sum over the LCD = 17/36
Simplify the fraction if possible. In this case it is not possible

First convert all the fractions to the lowest common denominator (all fraction have the same bottom number) then add the numerators (top numbers). Your example 3/4+3/4 already has a lowest common demoninator (4) so try 3/4+3/8
3/4 + 3/8 = 6/8 + 3/8 = 9/8 = 1 1/8

Well this one is easy since the denominators are the same... just add the numerators and keep the denominator the same so it would be 6/4 or simplified, 3/2 or 1.5.
3/4 + 3/4 = 6\4 simplify 3/2 or 11/2 or 1.5
If you have different denominators you need to multiply them until you have the lowest common denominator for both. so if you are adding 1/2 and 1/3 for example, you would multiply 1\2 by 3/3 and 1/3 by 2/2 and you would then have 3\6 + 2\6... you could then add them to get 5\6
1/2 + 1/3 =
1/2(3/3) + 1/3 (2/2) =
3/6 + 2\6 = 5/6

To add fractions, you have to find the least common denominator. For this case you already have 4 thus
3+3/4 = 6/4 then you express it to the lowest terms 1 2/4 or 1 1/2

Add the two top numbers so it would be 6/4. Since 4/4 is 1 that would make this be 1 2/4 which you reduce to 1 1/2

i think it's
3/4 +3/4= denominator is same so it would be 6/4 or 1 & 2/4 the reduced 1 1/2 remember you then have to divide 4 into 6 to get that mixed fraction...

if the fraction has a common denominator then just combine the two and simplify. 3/4+3/4=6/4 or 3/2
if they don't have a common denominator, then make it so you do have a common denominator by finding out the LCD. Then simplify.
ex. 2/3+4/5=10/15+12/15=22/15
