Are they good pets to have?

It depends. For some people they make wonderful pets...but for some no. Did you know they're nocturnal? Which means that they're only hyper at around 11 pm or sometimes as late as 1 am. Are you willing to stay up late to ensure that your glider is happy? Also, they require a special diet and you cant just buy it at some pet store. You have to mix it up your self everynight and cut up fruits and veggies nightly. They also do better in pairs. They're very social animals and if kept alone they could become lonely, depressed, and good die from it. Although, if you can spend most of the day and night with one glider it should be fine.
They also require a huge cage not something small like a hamsters. They can also live for 10-15 years if taken cared of properly. HTH

My friend had them! They are cute and make wierd noises, she had them in an apartment and they were fine. Not sure what you mean by good pets though, they dont listen to you and I doubt they do any tricks, but they dont eat much and are SOOOOO unique and cute.

Yes, and they're so cute!!! but they might be illegal in some states. I have wanted one forever, and read a bunch about behavior, diet, cages, toys, the whole deal. If you want some info, feel free to e-mail me!
