It varies from item to item. Generally 75 years old and it is collected or desirable. However, vehicles are considered antiques at 25. Electronics i.e. computers, can be considered antiques at even younger age.

Lol all of you have a lot to learn and I'm going to assume you are young. Go to an antique dealer with something less than 100 years and insist its an antique and they will probably laugh at you. You have classifications such as; vintage, collectable, classic and antique and those classifications all have specified numbers of years that separate them into their classifications, if things were not classified as they are by the date each thing was made and was it a mass production item determine their value and things of mass production hold little value if it falls in the amount of years to be an antique.to have an antique of high value not very many are left in exsistence and only a few were made of that specific item. I could keep going but u get the gist.

Actually, it comes down to the decision of the seller. There's no hard and fast law. It can be anywhere from 20 to 100 years or older.
