Generally believed to be Plan 9 from Outer Space..... an Ed Wood film from the 50's with Bela Lugosi....... but so kitsch it's become a cult classic.
As for more mainstream movies, the following were disappointments.....
Battlefield Earth
Alien 3
Lifeforce
Xtro
Solaris (George Clooney...just so boring !)

2010. A very poor follow up to 2001.
I also hate Stanley Kubrik. Not for his films, some of them are excellent (A clockwork orange for example), but for screwing up the way we say years. We should say twenty oh one, and not as a whole number. I wonder when we are going to revert to the traditional way of saying the year? I mean how would you say 2115?

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, it was The Black Hole. It was absolutely awful - acting and all. So bad that we watch it with the sound turned off and make up our own words.
