Ethan, you haven't met me, I don't foam at the mouth, have a great marriage and raised two fine sons.
I am, however, supportive of most women's issues. Some feminists may be like the caustic Rep. hate spewer, Ann Coulter, my Republican friends are as appalled by her as I am. And most people have sense enough to know that she does not represent them. So it is with you, don't' judge all by the few you've met.
It could be that you come off so antagonistic (as you do here) that you invite anger and hate rather than communication. Food for thought?

Interesting, I am a feminist, I am not angry. I am insulted by any society that degrades women or views them as second class citizens. The feminists that I know .. well some are angry over injustices heaped upon women, but most are assertive not angry. The angry folks I know, the ones that are ugly and full of hate that foam at the mouth are usually of the moral majority, judgemental of others choices and usually do not know the difference between morals and ethics. (and just in case, morals is a personal thing, ethics is the social interaction with others.)

Yes, and it is very scary. I am a Feminist to an extent. I do not approve of Abortion at all. Abortion is murder. If a woman did not want that baby, wear protection, a condom, take birth control pills or the morning after pills, or do not have sex. Take a gene test (this is to make sure that you cannot pass anything bad down to your offspring). I believe that women should have the same equal rights as men, that I will not deny, women in the work place should be able to do all of the things that men can do, but Abortion is not right, it is murder. Once that cell has become a life (it takes 48 hours after sex to become pregnant), that life is a baby. These women who have abortions, they are one month to three months pregnant, these babies are healthy, and these women are healthy, and it is not women that were raped or teens having abortions, women that are having abortions are married, have jobs, make good money, they just do not want a child. When a woman gets pregnant, it is a man's and a woman's responsibility to take care of that child. If you cannot take care of that child, there are many people who are willing to adopt that child for you. I should know, many of my cousins and I cannot conceive and we would do anything to have children. Many men and women take their children or having children for granted. Feminist can be Feminist, but do not throw Abortion into the mix. I know that there are many good men out there and I am related to many of those men, I can also see that you too are a good man, and as a woman who is on your side, I am sorry that you had to go through that. That is not fair to you.

Perhaps... But you know, and forgive me for pointing out the obvious hypocrisy here, but I've noticed that people who use the word "femi-nazi" tend to be pretty angry and hateful people. And speaking of insults it's hard to think of a worse insult than one with the word "nazi" in it.

For millions of years women were brainwashed in to thinking they were less then men I mean they actually thought it ! Otherwise there would have been a revolt rather than slower progress, that is really quite resent...
The thing is, if its so easy for women to think they are less then men it is also form of brainwashing to think we are equal (This is because we are!! See the feminist in me!) And should/need to fight for our rights this is important and necessary because of the terrifying reality that if we were so easily controlled it could happen again! So I am a scary feminist and proud because I have this felling inside that I have to fight for my rights, and this makes some women comes across as hateful, its not, its fear that our rights and opinions wont be respected as equal and valid, tell the women you know, you really respect them but still want challenge them in conversation (obviously not a conversation on weather they are equal, coz they will rightly kill u! and (try not to say it in a patronising way) and they will eventually relax with you, its takes extra time for women like us to trust but when we do we relax, and stop being angry (at you), but still will with all men in general! We are worth it, promise!

Ahh yes the eternal PMS syndrome. Very rare amongst the amazonian breed of female. When you encounter them don't make eye contact look away slowly or keep your head down looking towards the ground back away slowly and call animal control explain the situation they will come tranc her then when she wakes up the next day she will be spayed and a happy camper.

Femi-Nazi's hehe someone listens to too much Rush. People who become too invested in their own ideas become willing to hurt others and even themselves in defending their idea. Its hard to argue with close minded people. Esp close minded she-men on their periods. lol sorry had to say that prolly wont get another chance in life.

You would be angry too if you had to watch men continually screw up the world and the woman and children sit back helplessly and suffer the most. God created all men equal of this I am sure.
