An American actress said on UKTV that Paul Revere resonates with all Americans. For my own education, can someone expand on this?

just a comment on how the American revolution, and Paul reveres ride especially are over taught in school, i remember when i was in school, there was some portion on Paul revere, or the American revolution every year. in history class, and even in English class!!

Well, Paul Revere and the Raiders had some great songs, they were the first to record (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone, and had hits with Good Thing, Louie Go Home, Kicks, and many others. Once Mark Lindsey left them for an unsuccessful solo career, they just weren't as good.
