Hizbollah is a Shi'ite sect of Islam; and is also the leading sect in Iran, which is not an Arab country. More than 80% of Muslims belong to the Sunni sect, including the majorities of the Arab countries' populations.

Most Arab governments have a deep distrust of Iranian intentions; some of them dislike Hizbollah because they think that Iran is fighting a proxy war against Israel and the west through Lebanon.

The Arab street though has a strong respect for Hizbollah; they think that it is the only force in the region which is militant and strong enough to stand up against Israel.

Arab leaders won't go anywhere near Hezbollah because they all recognize that Hezbollah is an extremist organization intent on genocide of the Jews. That's no longer overly acceptable in the Middle East.

That, and nobody wants to mess with Israel, nor do they want to get involved and risk having America come to Israel's defense.

Maybe he doesn't support them because he has a bit of sense in his head. Maybe he thinks peace and understanding is better than war and hate. That would be a refreshing point of view from an Islamic leader.
