we don't live in the nicest area, and i was pleading with him to let me in for what seemed like forever. his reasoning was that i wouldnt apologise to him for something minor that happened earlier. i don't agree with violence, but i was so angry...

Why would you want to go back in to the house if this ars***le was still in it?
That was mental abuse, which is much more damaging than a smack.

Good for you. Next time don't slap him. Quit your crying, you only had to sit outside for an hour. I'll bet his face still stings after the slap. Does he have a welt?
How would you feel if he slapped you hard in the face.
grow up and deal with your issues like a mature person.

I know you're angry but ask yourself if it would have been okay for him to give you a hard slap in the face if he was angry at something you'd done. Physical violence is never the answer and it goes both ways - you wouldn't want him to hit you so don't hit him.

You're just lucky he didn't beat the sh*t out of you. It always amazes me that weak women think it's okay to hit a man with no repercussions.
You know that he's probably twice as strong as you are and could easily kick your a*s. It was very nice of him not to beat you; you should be grateful. Perhaps your next boyfriend won't be so understanding when you slap him. You might even end up dead.

no ur not wrong. he's wrong 4 locking u outside of the house 4 some little incident that he wouldn't let go of. he deserved that slap and above all, he's acting like a jerk. if i were u, i'd go 2 a friend's house and let him cool off.

No, you shouldn't have hit him no matter what. He could have had you arrested! And you definitely shouldn't stay living there. The two of you don't sound like you belong with each other. Move on and find someone that you can coexist with, peacefully.

What he did was certainly immature, but hitting him wasn't the solution. If he had wanted, he could have called the cops and you could have gotten in trouble for domestic violence.
