Massachusetts weather has gone nuts and we have been getting a thunder storm at least once a week. It wouldn't piss me off so much if my DSL (Verizon) didn't crap out during the storms. Does this happen to anyone else? And why do you think it happens?

Sometimes it doesn't even rain, you can hear thunder in the distance and the internet messes up.

DSL can be affected by severe weather if water seeps past the protective coating on the wire. It can cause static on the line audibly and noticeable difference or outages in DSL.
