I think it's just a waste of money and if a war broke out and nuclear weapons are ready, it might cause mass destruction.

I work in the utility industry. There are nuclear plants everywhere. There are at least 10 that I know of in the Southeast alone. They are VERY safe and actually the cheapest and cleanest way to make electricity.

They are safe for the environment and they are economical.
Enriching uranium is extremely difficult. That is what makes nuclear weapons. It would be a whole other plant to do that. Nuclear plants are for one thing...electricity. Only someone with lots of money and lots of space could actually take advantage of our nuclear plants.

Plus...they are well guarded. And, if the utility that owns them is a public company, they have stock holders to report to...they are not wasting their time dabbling in weapon making. Don't you worry about that.

Not a waste of money....by far GOOD for our country.

cuts down on pollution-they run cleaner than coal or oil
USA would be less dependent on oil from other countries
lower prices at the rate oil is going
