The best of all time is without a doubt,Michael Jordan. I hear people comparing Wade to him and it makes me laugh. Wade isnt even in the same league with Michael. Jordan in his prime would have destroyed guys like Wade. The only player that even approaches the level of Jordan these days is Kobe Bryant,he has all the tools. The athletic ability, the deadly consistent jumper and unblockable fadeaway,he is a very good passer, and the thing that seperates him from most of the other stars of today is the fact that he is one of(if not THE)best defensive players playing the game today. That same quality is what set Jordan apart from everyone else in his day as well. People forget,Kobe is still a young man. He just started so early people think he is older than 30. I think his best days are ahead of him,his 81 point night against the Raptors is a game that I will never forget. He could not miss. As for the rest of the league,Lebron is an amazing player, but needs to be more consistent with his jumper. Until then, teams will continue to collapse and force him to shoot outside. Tracy McGrady is the closest to Kobe, but his back may curtail what would have been a great career,I hope he rebounds, but he seems to be like his old teammate Grant Hill, always fighting injury. Wade has his ring and that says a lot for the guy. He is a tough player with a good mix of athletic ability and desire,he is similar to Lebron in the fact that his jumper needs to become more consistent. I think that is the thing that Kobe has on all of the aforementioned players...consistency. I think the NBA is not as talented as it was in the 80's and 90's but a few of these players will keep the league afloat until the talent level gets back to where it should be. I think until the high schools, colleges, buddy leagues etc. start teaching fundamentals instead of flashy moves and high flying dunks, the game will suffer. I like great plays as well as anyone, but learn the fundamentals first, combine that with amazing physical talent and you will be unstoppable. That is what seperates guys like Jordan and Kobe from the other players.

D wade, i followed his career since Marquette and he's one special player. I knew he would be really good once he got into the NBA. He gives up his body in order to win the game. He always comes thru in the clutch which is real important to me, Arod doesn't do it here in NY for the Yanks, but Wade does it all the time. Times i remember especially was against the nets this year where he rejected Carter at the buzzer at the end of regulation to keep the Heat on top for the win, and last year as Amare was going to the hoop, Wade comes out of nowhere and rejects him, gets the ball, and fires it the full 90 ft and gets the shot in at the buzzer (how often do you see that). Wade is the most fun to watch in the NBA and he has so much talent while keeping it very humble.

My favorite player is Julius Erving. aka. Dr.J. Almost every player models themself after him. The man did things that no else has done yet. The man picked up a quarter off the top of the backboard. The man is amazing. No one in this league can touch him.

KOBE!

When I was in Middle School I couldnt have cable in my room and all I could get one night through the antenna was one of the Lakers games, so I watched and I thought Kobe was A GREAT athlete and HOT so I started to follow him.

Then this past season I went to the Bucks/Lakers game all dolled up in my Kobe stuff and he sent his sweatband over to me via security guard. I thought after HOW many years of supporting him, it definately paid off.

Too bad he's married cuz he is the love of my life.
