Go and turn you're TV on 2 a station where there is a commercial break on. I bet you will see at least 2 commercials where men are either breaking their hand, not knowing every day facts of life, or just doing something stupid. I know men do these things more often than women, but women can do these things as well.

Because their is a new reverse discrimination thing going on. Since women were always put down and held back in the work place up until the last few decades, it would be consider demeaning, insulting, and sexist to have women being idiots in that manor on television. Its offensive for women but funny when its a man.
In short, people are stupid and the media is liberal. I'm sick of seeing men portrayed as bad or incompetent fathers when I've yet to meet a crappy father and have seen nothing but terrible mothers, (excluding myself and a couple of the mom's from my son's gymnastics group).
