But, you might "brake" for garage sales, or "brake" for animals.

But you did not "brake" up with your boyfriend.

You did, however, "BREAK" up with him

You brake to stop a car

You break up with a boyfriend.

Ask him if he likes intelligence in a woman? Try to develop some!
