What do you all think of how he is doing?

I agree with everything everybody has already said. And my kids love him. I was outraged a couple weeks ago I read on some ESPN website some sports writer had rated Frenchy on his "Worst of the Worst" list. I sent him a scathing e-mail, and he sent me back some politically correct answer thanking me for my opinion and then attempting to "educate me" on why he felt the way he did. And then he put in a plug for his stupid book -- so I shot him back another e-mail telling him nice try but I'm not interested in your crappy book.

He's a good hitter, but he still needs to learn how to work the count better. That .286 OBP is atrocious, and his .442 slugging is not very good.
He's still only seeing 3.2 pitches per at-bat, and it would be nice to see that number get to at least 3.5. I know he'll never be the most patient guy - he's admitted as much himself - but I think taking a walk once in a while would be a good thing.
I like him a lot, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Frenchy is probably one of my favorite players.i love how he plays the game.Everytime out he gives it a great effort.And he's not afraid to get his uniform dirty.Plus, he's young so the mistakes he makes (being over-agressive at the plate) he can fix.And Hey,have you seen his arm?he's got a cannon! oh,and he aint to hard on the peepers either,if ya know what i mean.haha but seriously,Frenchy's gonna be an All-Star one day.

I think the others gave great answers here. He has great potential, but must improve his on base percentage. On the plus side, he's a very good rbi man, with lots of clutch hits, and he does have a cannon for a right arm.
