Yeah, "Searching for Bobby Fischer" was a great movie (Chess)

Baseball: Pride of the Yankees and Field of Dreams
Football: Remember the Titans; Horsefeathers (Marx Brothers)
Basketball: White Men Can't Jump

Haven't seen "Glory Road" but that one appears to be a total misrepresentation of actual history.

I also liked "Blue Chips" and "The Air Up There" (Basketball)

Boxing: Rocky III (with Mr. T)

Hoosiers was a great movie as well.

The ORIGINAL Bad News Bears was a fun baseball movie.
None of the sequels (or the remake) are worth anything.

The Harder They Fall with Humphrey Bogart.

It was an old film that centered on the theme of how professional prize fighters were taken advantage of by the mob. I liked it because it made a statement about the need to clean up an industry loaded with corruption as with Raging Bull for which Robert DeNiro received an Oscar.

A story line as well as great special effects have a great impact upon society.

From the early days of film until now, sports movies have done well at the box office and I would like to see more films with sports as a backdrop...loved Seabiscuit.

Baseball: Bad News Bears (Original)
Basketball: Hoosiers
Football: Rudy
Hockey: Slapshot and Mighty Ducks
Chess: Finding Bobby Fischer
Soccer: Big Green

Everyone loves the Cinderella story. Where a team/person is so bad and thought to have no chance and then they come from behind and win that final game!

Baseball: The SandLot (The Rookie is good too)
Golf: Caddyshack (no brainer)
Football: Remember the Titans was quite good
Hockey: Miracle (Great flick)
Horse Racing: Sea Biscuit (awesome)
Running: Chariots of Fire (this may be the BEST of all of them)
Basketball: Glory Road (and this movie is NOT a misrepresentation as someone above said - I saw the extra features on the DVD and they interviewed all the players and coaches and it is VERY accurate. You might want to actually SEE a movie before you judge it)
