Speech Probs...?

Question

It's not that I stutter, but I seem to never have the right answer to anything. Somebody tells me something and I stand there, dumbstruck and don't know what to say other than smile and give a little laugh. I wish I could think of something witty to say right away. What can I do?

You don't need to say anything particularly intelligent ot thought provoking - quite often a little question will keep the conversation/debate going. Thry looking at the page below for a few ideas

This happened to me when I took a debating speech class in college a couple years ago. I didn't know what to say, so I just let the other team talk. When I sat down, the answers just rushed through my brain. I hate it when it happens.

You'll just have to study really hard on the topic and memorize as much as you can. You should also hope that everything will go out as planned.

Could come from a speech problem or a lack of concentration.. Think before you talk and think slowly!!
The reason why you freeze up is because you have so many thoughs at one time and you dont know where to start.:)

Don't worry so much about it... it will come over time. I used to be the same way, but after You've had enough experience with things in life, stuff just jumps right out of Your mouth without you even trying... You'll See.

I think you know more than you think you do...take a risk next time and state your opinion. It is totally ok to have your own viewpoint, as a matter of fact, it makes life more interesting. You don't always have to agree with the majority!

Watch alot of movies and use punchlines from them...lol..
