I have 3 hills of zucchini, 2 produce dark green, and one produces yellow/orange like yours. they all taste the same to me.

Yep. Its quite common. Some of these cucumber or zucchini like plants are susceptible to sunburn. Yep, that's right. Sunburn. Its perfectly fine to eat and won't harm the vegetable.

I agree with the poster who suggested it be sun exposure.But just to be sure, you may want to make sure your plant is fertilized.Iron deficincy's and bugs can cause a plant to change colors.But if all the other zucchini's look ok I wouldnt worry

of course its ok. Did it become a hybrid plant with another plant in the area? Remember, it doesn't have to be a plant that is very close to it either. There are plenty of new veggies and fruits showing up through hybrid processes...

you could try using epsom salts as it will help turn any plants leaves and fruits greener because it contains magnesium and your soil may be deficient. I tbsp per gallon of water. works on everything and won't harm it. Otherwise, the color isn't as important as taste.
