Going to the movies alone is fine! It is a sign of maturity. Many psychologists suggest going to the movies alone and doing things alone as part of the "growth" therapy. You become more self reliant and confident. It is a good thing.

Yes, many times. I kind of like it, very relaxing. I only feel odd if it's a romantic comedy type of film as it's all couples, either romantic or friendly and - me.
Sometimes you want to discuss the movie though and you don't have someone sitting there at hand.
I once had a guy get incredibly jealous as he could not believe that I went to see a romantic film by myself - he interrupted me mid-sentence to ask who I had seen it with!
Just do it - it's only a movie. It's a dark room and everyone is watching the screen.

I have gone to the movies by myself lots of times, and I love it. You can sit alone and not have to worry about being cramped in between two people, unless its' a popular movie that everyone and their brother wants to see. And you don't have to sorry about anyone talking through the movie or asking questions about the movie while it's playing. I love it. I just sit back, relax and enjoy.

Don't do it. You will feel like a loser and others will snicker in silence when they see you sitting there all alone. If you absolutely MUST do it, then the trick is to find a couple or small group of people and then sit like 3 seats away from them. It will look as thought you could be part of the group but just want your own space.

I do it all the time..It makes sure that your loved ones arnt board stiff when your interests aren't the same..I thought I would feel weird to but when the lights go out and they start the movie. You get so engrossed into the story that it doesn't matter if you are with someone or not..

I barely remember the last time I didn't go to a movie by myself, with the exception of once in recent history. It seems fine to me, although I usually sit in the back, but that's mainly so people don't hit my seat, shaking their foot or whatever.

If you have an "eh, I don't care what others think of me!" attitude, then it won't matter. However, now that I know about social websites like meetin dot org, I have lots of friends to go see movies with :)

I've done it and it's not bad. If you are worried about people looking at you, break out a notepad and pen. People will think you are a movie critic on assignment.

I go to the movies by myself all the time. I enjoy it. I'm not quite sure what's to think about, just do it.
