Hi, President Bush. I've never met a president before, so I have lots to ask & say. Was being a U.S. President a lifelong goal? Was it something that became a new goal while in college? Your biography states that you went to Harvard and Yale. What were your academic strengths and weaknesses?
Now let's talk about some issues. Let's keep the jobs here, because our economy needs to be strong. Also, we need to have better funding for education...elementary up through college. Equal pay for men and women when they have the same education levels / work experience. On the environment and oil dependency...we need to find some way not to rely on the Middle East, but we need to find a way that doesn't involve hurting any wildlife preserve.
About the war on terror, and Saddam being out of power. Good job. But we shouldn't be there so long. North Korea...another issue...their leader needs to stop threatening the nuke issue. Same with Iran's leader. Both need to realize using nukes on anyone isn't an answer, and both need to be dealt with rationally.
Also, regarding homeland security...the news should not broadcast to the world that all these airport screeners are being laid off. They have an important job and shouldn't be laid off, and announcing such layoffs is dangerous. And we need to have tighter borders. People should only come into the country legally, because, if Americans go to other countries...to travel or live, their papers have to be in order.
Also, I recently saw a movie on human trafficking. What are your plans in dealing with that issue? What about the overall safety of children as they use the internet? How do you plan to combat these problems?
How about healthcare. What can be done with this issue, so that anyone with full-time hours gets decent coverage? What about people who work such hours, but through temp agencies? Can you solve the issue of temps having to work a year or 1500 hours before qualifying for healthcare from one temp agency, yet sometimes can't get steady work from the same agency, so they never get benefits? Shouldn't temp agencies lower the amount of time, and also have better packages, so that temp workers have a chance at benefits? What about healthcare for the elderly? What can be done about their needs in general, and especially those who end up in a nursing home? How can we make sure that they are not abused in nursing homes and that the nursing homes pass all health and safety codes?
On a lighter note, now...after your presidency is over, if you were to read one of those "Bushisms" books, what quote of yours would you think is the funniest?
And in case I never meet another president, I just have to ask...what's the deal with Roswell? What do you know about it? Come on, tell me. I won't blab! Have me checked for wires if you want. But you can tell me.
