The only way anyone can honestly answer this is by comparing their skills at the same age which is nearly impossible to do seeing there is such a age gap, and Thierry has been playing top class Football for years longer than Wayne, the one way to be sure you get the right answer is to wait until Wayne is Thierry`s age and then compare them

Inspite of being an LFC supporter I feel Rooney is something special and will eventually turn out to be better than Thierry Henry. Now thats saying something because Henry is a pretty good darn player!

Wayne Rooney he is younger with a lot of potintial. Henry is getting old and losing his touch. Although Henry finishes better Rooney is overall a better player

Lets see... one stepped on a defenders "treasures" got sent off and the team crashes out of the World cup. Carried the whole underachieving England team at the 2004 Euro to the semis until breaking his metatarsal, and taking England down with him.
The other one, always have a knack of scoring beautiful goals, against smaller teams that is. Disappear during important matches, never was an important figure when France won the World Cup and Euro at 1998 and 2000, respectively. Featured heavily in France squad that failed in the subsequent campaigns. Most incriminating evidence, extra time, with penalty shutout looming, he was replaced by Trezeguet, who eventually missed the only penalty in the ensuing shootout. He will retire as an Arsenal player, he is comfortable there.
Henry maybe a better footballer, but Rooney is the one I would go to war with.

Henry has better technical skills like footwork and vision but Rooney has pace and power, I would have to say Henry because he is an amazing finisher
