In other words, the way I've gotten on the internet is to click on AOL, which brings up a sign-on page. I've never gotten on the internet any other way and don't know how to get a dial-up page without AOL. So I need an internet service provider, right?

Yeah. Call your cable or phone company and they should provide internet service for a monthly fee. They should also be able to help you set it up.

you go into the internet settings on the top tool bar for the internet page. Then hit ...Internet Option ,conections then remove the AOL settings and then add your new ones.

Go to internet explorer, click tools on top. Go to internet options where a window will pop up. go to the "connections" tab. Then on top you will see a button that says, "setup". Click on that and follow the directions it gives you from there.
