Yeah it is true. Smoking weed increase your heart rate and as a consequence you are more likely to have a heart attack.
But guess what else increases your heart rate? Running a mile.
So if you are 75 years old and have had 3 heart bypasses -- you should not smoke weed, nor should you run a mile, lest you will have a heart attack.
This does not make smoking weed or running a mile harmfull in of itself.
Think about it if you are below 35 your risk of heart attack is practically ZERO -- quadruple that and it is still not very likely.

No matter what is said, the main thing to keep in mind is that it isn't good for you no matter what.
Smoking is smoking and smoking weed has all the same problems that come with smoking regular cigarettes but with the added problems of increased heart rate, changing your blood pressure and other changes within your body that if you have any hidden problems, smoking weed could bring them to the forefront more rapidly.
Lastly, it is illegal, that alone should be enough to keep you away but one thing I've noticed about people in today's world, they don't care any more, they don't want to take responsibility for their own actions, they want to blame it on someone else.
Oh well, go ahead and smoke yourself silly, just let me know when and what road you are on so I can make sure I'm nowhere near there at the time.

To overdose you have to smoke five times your body weight in 15 minutes.
It does sometimes cause a fluttery heart. Your wife is thinking of the statistics for cocaine. Sometimes in today's market, weed is often laced with meth or coke to keep the customer coming back. If you are having heart trouble when you are smoking weed, you have some bad s**t dude.
I know too much because I work with people about their addictions. I smoke and have for 28 years. Most addiction therapists do in all of the places I have worked. They just help with the harder drugs.
It does, however, cause emphysema in long time smokers. You will not be able to breathe when you are older if you do not stop. It is heII on your lungs and a few other organs as well.
"Chronic" (or constant) use causes fatigue, muscle ache and spasm, stomach cramps, insomnia, headache, etc, etc.
Hope this settled the debate.

No one adds coke or meth to weed without saying so.
Those drugs cost money, that's a french benefit.
Smoking is harmful.
But I seriously doubt smoking weed is worse than alcohol.
Which you can easily die from, with or without handling heavy machinery. Which no serious potsmoker finds difficult to operate anyway.
