That Depends. Here are a Couple Ways.
BURNING: I had a friend who actually Burned the ends of her jeans to make it look like she had stomped in fire or somthing. It looks pretty cool, but you have to be careful, as not to destroy them too.
CUSTOMIZING: There's always an option of drawing on them personally.
STITICHING: You Can Stitch little badges to them.
BLEACHING: As a Person above me said Bleaching can look cool, but at mimited amounts. Don't overdo it.
WALKING ON THEM: That can make them naturally torn up,, but it takes a while.
SCISSORS: Don't have time to walk on them? Cutting up the ends with scissors then walking a little on them will do the same as above with a similar effect.
PATCHES: Adding Patches of pattern purposly sown badly are also cool.
ALL OF THE ABOVE: Okay, I wouldn't try it but... It's Always an Option right? Lol.

I dont think you can do that on the ends of your pants. if you want to look like rock and roll look at what they wear.

cut em up, take the seam out and wash em a lot, split em up the sides and attach back with safety pins (ive done all of the above)....theres plenty of things to do. be creative!
