depends on what'swrong with your eyes. Corrective lenses change the shape of the light hitting your eye, so it falls correctly onto the back of your eye where the nerves that sense light are. as you get older, the shape of your eye changes, and it gets harder to see things up close. If you didn't meed glasses before, you may start needing them for reading when you reach 40 or so, and you can use either glasses or contacts, which ever you want. However, if you already have bad eyes, contacts won't fix the problem, and you often get prescriptions different for each eys, one that sees close and one shat sees far. That is also how laser sugery works, each eye is lasered to see at a different distance.

I think it is the curve of the lense which corrects where the light hits the right spot in the back of your eye so that you can see clearly. I swapped from glasses to contact lenses and it was simply amazing... it's having eyes again instead of glasses. I can see clearly out of the corners of my eyes! However, you do have to be careful with contacts - how long you wear them, cleaning regularly (unless you have daily disposables), giving your eyes time to breathe - otherwise you can get infections and other complications. That said, I have stuck as closely as possible to the length of time I should wear them, changed contacts regularly and kept them clean and have had NO problems whatsoever. I'd hate to be without them and can only highly recommend them!

Glasses are a piece of glass that can be made into different thicknesses and angles that will improve your eyesight. Contacts are way better. You don't have to worry about them falling off, and you don't have to look over or under them. When wearing contacts they are always in place, unless they move on your eye, but that is uncommon.

the shape of the glass refracts the light. Depending on if you're near or farsighted the distance from the lens in your eye and your retina is to far or too short. The lens refracts the light to move it the appropriate distance to your retina. I personally prefer contacts because the image is sharper, this occurs because the lens is actually on your eye, rather than an inch away.

Glasses are good, it's true that they make ur vision worse, but if you don't wear them it will make them even worse-r if that's a word. 0:) I have contacts, but had glasses, didn't like them, they weren't my thing. It's more of a personal opinion on how they look on you and how they fit you. GOOD LUCK! LuvCarly

once the two of them had a fight. one said i'm good, the other the same. when it went to court, the judge decided to put it on the internet. so when vote was counted nobody won. so judge gave them half each. since then they are equal.
