You really do need to contact a local mobile home mover to get this answer.... the cost varies, not only from service provider to service provider, but also from location to location. Permits, fees, insurance, etc.. these vary from state to state. Also, are your axles and tongue still attached, and if so, are the wheels mounted and in good shape? Do you need only transport, or do you also need someone to take the plumbing and electrical hookups out? Skirting need to be removed? Does the home need to be taken off of the blocks?

Even tho the home only needs to go 12 miles, there's the question of which roads.... county, state, or federal.. any municipalities it needs to go thru.... are there any low bridges that you would need to detour around (or even low hanging wires). Also, is an escort vehicle required, or provided.... all kinds of variables that we cannot answer based on the little information you've provided.

If you do not know of a mover in your area, or cannot find one... check with your closest mobile home dealer.... they will know who can do it, or might even be prepared to do it for you.

Have Fun!

This depends on how much the companies charge per mile, and if they have to use matting or bridging. They'll use matting to keep the mobile home's tires from sinking in the soil or mud. Bridging is used when they need to cross over a ditch. There are other extras they may charge for as well, like permits for highway travel, escorts.....it just depends on the company. Some companies will unhook your electrical, plumbing, and sewage. Others won't do that until it's completely unhooked by either you or someone else qualified to to that work. The best thing I can tell you is to call around and get estimates. Go from there. I will tell you that it's safe to assume that the charges will start at $1,000 and go from there. Best of luck with your move.

About $1000 is what it cost me 15 years ago. I had to move it about 8.5 miles, as I recall.

It depends where you live and usually if you want them to tear it down and set it up as well as move it.

Here it costs around $3,000 for the whole nine yards.
