Lolz, luv your sarcasm with regards to Reagan and the Soviet Union.
Can't argue one bit over that man. No other country has encouraged and practiced liberties and freedoms as much as the good Ol' USA and no other country has given sanctuary to exiles as much as out God-blessed land since 1776.
And about our future, the people of our United States have no intentions at all of brainwashing or persecuting any other people on our great planet. Sure, everyone isn't happy with us about everything and we have plenty of domestic dissatisfaction to prove our understanding, but that's what makes us NOT an evil empire. We can discuss and be civil over our conflicts and disagreements because we don't oppress and slience opposition.
After all, America is the land of innovation where people from all over the world come to prosper and be HAPPY.

No sir.America was right a lot in History and we will always consider you a friend.Defeating the Nazi's we wouldn't have made it without your help
But as friends it should be possible to disagree on issues.Friends stand up for each other but don't blindly follow orders.Treat Europe with respect and you will get it back.
I must also say that America is sometimes very wrong too. That's not to vilify honesty but if you can not give your heartfelt and honest opinion to a friend,it's not friendship.
And I truly hope America and Europe will always be friends and surely at this time when we need each other to defeat once again an ideology of hatred. We are with you all the way in finding and destroying Osama and his idiot followers cos we do have shared values. We just don't share all our values. That should not be a problem between friends as long as we respect each other.
Is it OK to you that I as an atheist for once also say God bless America?
It's heartfelt and I hope you see that we love the USA and respect you enough to say it when we think you make a mistake.

America is not an evil empire.
The corruption of government here from both democrats and republicans is what makes us come across as evil.
The people of this nation want truth and honesty and the ability to raise our children in a nation of tolerance and dissent. The picture of America as our founding fathers saw it. It's what makes us so attractive to the rest of the world. But we are losing this so fast in the last 20 years which is sad for a nation that embraces personal freedom so much.

People who refer to America as an "evil empire" have no idea what evil really is. It's a shame that there are not more people around who can explain to the youth of America what evil really is. Anyone remember Hitler? We have become so numb to evil that we cannot relate to what it really is. To all of those who hate this country, I say "good for you". While you turn a blind eye to true evil, you sentance yourself to an eternity of ignorance and even hell. When your day comes, you will see for yourself what evil is, and it will be too late for you to recant. I'm not a religious man, but I do pray there is an underworld, as true evil can't be punished enough in this world. America, Land of the Free, Home of the brave, and unfortunatley, protector of the it's own betrayors.

Bigger is not always better
But it is an easy target. Anyone that wants to do some nation bashing We are a easy target.
Think of it this way. Say your a average Arab teenager. If you complained about your Country you would be killed. So they can point at America and feel important.
I could care less it will not change the political agenda of the Redpublican base.

Personally, America is a good friend or worst enemy depending whose side you are. Whatever America wants, America gets. Seldom to see country like Singapore that could withstand pressure coming from superpower like America. American have some moments of greatness and stupidity. Overall, I still like to be on the side of America. It's the only country whose practice of democracy is above superlatives.

America is the vilest of empires. Our leaders rape innocent citizens by the hundreds. Our government has launched chemical weapons attacks on defenseless ethnic minorities. Our politicians leave their people starving in rancid poverty, while they enjoy decadent luxury at the people's expense.
Oh, wait. That was Iraq.

I think that it depends on how you look at things. I think that some of the things that we do aren't the best for the whole world. We shouldn't get involoved in some of the things that we do but I wouldn't call us an evil empire. We're killing our own ecomony with outsourcing and war anyway.
