yes, it is refreshing to see signs of intelligence on this site, war is an atrocity,radioactive poisoning is an atrocity, preemttively striking is a euphemism for aggressor, our freedom is not being fought for,we are in no danger of being enslaved or invaded by iraq as the worlds mightiest military power and no there are not varying degrees of depravity while destroying a civilization

There are times when a war is necessary. First World War and Second World War were necessary.

Killing is not always barbaric. Indiscriminate killing for no purpose at all is barbaric.

War is something that serves a purpose when the time is right. However, who is to decide when the time is right? I suppose it's the government, whom we voted into power to make these decisions for us.

But defending people is honourable and good, and war is in human nature. We will never see an end to it, and as long as there are bad people in the world, I hope there are people willing to fight against them.
