I am a member of Mensa , I got in when I was 19, there was a lot of logic and math concepts. My advice to you is to take the test as soon as possible because IQ goes down with age. It is not that you get dumber but your IQ score is divided by your age. so if two people one age 20 and other 25 took the same exact text and had the same exact score then the 20 year old would have a much higher IQ.

Think a lot. Doubt a lot. Don't accept statements just because someone important made them, but accept what is consistent with observation as a working hypothesis. Work stuff out for yourself. When you learn enough, you will have the confidence to make good analyses and decisions and won't need the ego stroking of a mutual admiration society. Mensa is a joke; their quiz books are poorly written, badly proofread if at all and frequently wrong.

Mensa is not for women alone! Also, if you are not smart enough to get in without any preparation, you won't enjoy it much either! So forget it and get over it!
