I have wasted a whole day feeling like a real slob. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I don't think you should be too hard on yourself. Everybody has bad moods; they're a part of life. Spending your day, or I should say, wasting it feeling like a slob isn't so unusual. We all do it at one time or another! Who says that every day must include meaningful things? Most people's lives are hectic, stressful and busy. "Wasting" it and feeling slobby isn't so bad!! Tomorrow is a new day. I know that sounds cliche, but it really is true. Try not to be so critical of yourself...you are only human.

Ask yourself what you have learned. When you can come up with something other than I am a slob, I have wasted a whole day, then you will have learned something.. and no matter what that is.. it was a good thing to learn. Personally I think if you look hard enough, you will discover that what you learned is that things don't clean themselves, that if you want something done you need to get off your butt and do it.. then you can feel productive and know you have not wasted the day and perhaps your mood will be better to have actually accomplished something.

Ask yourself the following questions.....
Do I have a roof over my head?
Do I have a nice warm comfortable bed to sleep in?
Do I have plenty to eat?
Do I have hot & cold running water?
Am I able to bath whenever I want?
Do I have power at the flick of a switch?
Am I free to come and go as I please?
The majority of the people in the world cannot say yes to most of these questions ... think about it.

So life sucks. Let's go get chocolate sundaes. Race to see who can finish their's first. Both get chocolate and ice cream headaches. Then we can sit on a front porch, watch the cars go by, and talk about why being born in 1960 makes us on the verge of being too old.....
