I dont know about your horse, but mine is very picky about her food. My barn feeds oats, and she wont eat them. I feed her pellets mixed with sweetfeed and she loves it. I also buy sweetfeed for a treat after the ride. I would suggest that. I dont know any horse that doesnt love it. Good luck!

How much work does your horse get? How much energy does it have?
Feed is an important factor in your maintenance plan for your horse. If you do not ride that much, or your horse has a tremendous amount of energy, you will want to look for a lower protein feed. Something with 10% protein. If you think your horse could use more pep, go for something with a higher protein. Corn does not digest, so a feed with a high corn content is just wasted $$$.
I do not know your geographic location, but Omoline, Purina, and Manna Pro are good brands where I am.
If it is hot where you are, maybe get some electrolytes. They will help your horse kind of the way Gatorade helps people (except the taste is better).
I never met a horse that did not like Mrs. Pasture's Horse Cookies.

What was she being fed before? change her food slowly so she doesn't get an upset stomach. I find Coolmax to be a good alrounder, and it doesn't make them too hot. Lucerne chaff and oaten hay are quite good bulk feeds in my opinion, don't give too many oats on their own. Horses love sunflower seeds, apples, carrots, molasses, but these should only be added occassionally(they are like sweets for horses). The people that work in the shop should be able to help you out anyway.
Have fun:)

Well what does your horse do jumping? Barrel? If he does either of those buy something for a hyper alert horse. If he does pleasure or trail use calmer food. And I also know that pleasure horses love sugar cubes! If it's a young horse you might want to try hay. Pegment Hay.
